TNPSC Group 4 Notification 2026 : TNSPSC has issued the TNPSC Group 4 notification in 6th October 2026. This notification is for Group IV Services and the total vacancies available in this recruitment is 6,574 posts.
The TNPSC Gr 4 online application link is available now. Last date to apply is 5th November 2026 and exam date is 10th January 2027. TNPSC Group 4 last date for application submission is 5th November. The application form will be close on the same day at 11:59 PM. TNPSC Group 4 Application Date 2026 sumbission date was started from 6th October. The TNPSC website will be slow in the last week due to high traffic to the same page. Application correction has been started from 9th Nov 2026 to 11th Nov 2026.
TNPSC Group 4 Exam Date 2026
TNPSC Group 4 Exam Date is set on 10th January 2027, Timing of the examination is in the morning at 9:30 to 12:30 PM as per the notification. The exam is in OMR based exam. Some websites still show 20th December 2026. That was the old date in the TNPSC annual planner. The notification has changed the examination date and updated in the final notification, so 10th January 2027 is the correct date.
The hall ticket will be released before one week or 10 days before the exam download from tnpsc.gov.in and tnpscexams.in.

TNPSC Group 4 Age Limit 2026
It is taken from 1 st July 2026
- General (Others) : 18 to 32 years
- BC, BCM, MBC and DC : up to 34 years
- SC, SC(A) and ST : up to 37 years
VAO, Forest Guard and Forest Watcher need a minimum age of 21 years. Executive Officer needs 25 years age. Some posts have a different upper age limit, so check the notification which post you are intrested.
Education and Fee
- Most posts : SSLC (10th) pass
- Typist and Steno Typist : SSLC and a government technical exam in typewriting or shorthand
- Forest Guard with Driving Licence : 12th pass with science subjects and a driving licence
- You must know the Tamil language
- One Time Registration fee : Rs. 150, valid for 5 years
- Exam fee : Rs. 100
SC, ST PW Candidates can not pay the fee. The details are in the notification.
TNPSC Group 4 Selection Process
There is no interview in TNPSC Group 4 Posts. The selection has three stages. First is the written exam, then second is certificate verification and then counselling. Forest Watcher and Forest Guard posts have physical test like running jumping and other events can be arranged.
The written exam is one paper with 200 questions for 300 marks, and you get 3 hours of time. Part A is Tamil, with 100 questions for 150 marks. You must score at least 60 marks in Part A. - Complete the One Time Registration (OTR).
- Login to your the application window and choose Notification No. 11/2026
- Fill the form, upload the photo and signature and pay the fee
- Submit and save the printout.
At the time of application submission you can ready your SSLC Mark shee and community certificate details Mobile number and eamil id for getting the otp for updates of the exam
